The gunman suspected of the kidnapper has kidnapped Hon. Nelson Adepoyigi is the chairman of the All Progressive Conference (APC) for the Local Government Area of Ose, Ndo State.
The politician is said to have been kidnapped while parking around 10 p.m. on Monday, May 12. The attackers rushed into his compound, where they pounced him with sticks and drove him away.
Adepoyigi’s wife heard his cry and rushed out but found that her husband had been taken away by the kidnapper.
Sources further revealed that the kidnapper had contacted the politician’s family and asked him to release 10 billion in blackmail.
Adetunji Adeleye, the state commander of Amotekun Corps, confirmed that his men had launched a raid for the kidnappers and were guaranteeing efforts to ensure the safe release of Adepoyigi.
In addition, the Public Relations Officer (PPRO), who had confirmed the kidnapping, said the politician was kidnapped at the entrance of his farm.
