A police spokesman said the injured expat and police officers were taken to the Federal Medical Center (FMC) and they are currently undergoing treatment.
She noted that a tactical team agents led by the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Operation) visited the crime scene on Saturday.
“By collaborative action involving police, military and local community members, inspector Ijeagwa was also rescued on Friday,” Chinaka said.
She noted that the investigation is underway and efforts are being made to track and bring them to justice.
The Chinese said state police chief Danladi Isa assured the public that the perpetrators would be punished.
