Barcelona’s head coach Hansi Flick clears the air because who will be his goalkeeper when they face Inter in the Champions League semifinals.
Hansi Flick confirmed that Szczesny will start in Barcelona when he speaks at the pre-match press conference. According to him, there was no debate on the goalkeeper choice between Wojciech Szczesny and Marc-André Ter Stegen.
The German, who had been indifferent in the past, has now made a decision and confirmed that while it is possible that Ter Stegen will return to the team sometime before the end of the La Liga season, he will not be in the Champions League.
He said
“Tek will be in the Champions League. Maybe one day we can change the situation in La Liga, but it’s for the future. Now, Tek will be in the Champions League.”
He also confirmed his semi-final strategy and hints at some possible tactical changes in the International Front’s unique 3-5-2 formation and its counterattack ability.
Barcelona still won high notes this season after winning the Cup. They are currently leading Real Madrid with 4 points on the Spanish La Liga table and are marked as one of their favorites to win the Champions League.
