    • Charlie Boy revealed that Peter Obi once visited him with a bag he thought contained money, only to find produce instead.
    • According to him, Obi spent about two hours discussing politics, family and the state of the country.

Veteran Nigerian entertainer Charlie Boy has shared a touching story about Labor leader Peter Obi that has sparked new discussions online about leadership, integrity and accountability.

In a recent podcast clip, Charlie Boy recounted how Peter Obi showed up at his house at 5 a.m. back in September 2025, carrying a bag that Charlie Boy initially thought contained money. According to him, Obi spent about two hours discussing politics, family and the state of the country.

After the visit, Charlie Boy became curious and decided to check the bag, only to find it was full of produce. It contains garden eggs, roasted peanuts, alligator peppers, kola nuts, papayas, oranges, mangoes and bananas, all reportedly harvested from Obi’s farm.

Charlie Boy said Obi later explained his gesture simply: “Senior, I can’t give you money, but I can give you this. This is what I personally selected.”

The revelation left a lasting impression on the entertainer, who said the action increased his respect for Obi.

“Peter Obi came to my house with a bag full of ‘Ghana must go’ like he wanted to bribe me. But when I opened it I found garden eggs inside.” πŸ™†πŸ˜‚

πŸ˜‚ Charlie boy really knows how to draw.
Just imagine how quickly the suspense turns into a garden egg, going from “bribery vibe” to “healthy snack vibe”. Even in politics, Nigerians need humor!

When you see Obi, don’t think his bag is full of money.
