The Nigerian film industry is grieving, the unexpected death of experienced actor chief Kanran, who died on August 15 at the age of 70.
His elder brother Chief Yemi has now clarified the loss. Contrary to the circulating rumors, Yumi stressed that Chief Canran was in good health shortly before his death.
In an interview with Feelfree News TV, Yemi said the late star attended church service on Friday before his death and danced with enthusiasm.
“He was not sick,” Yemi explained. “Friday before his death, he went to a church plan and people said he was dancing well. He even called me on Thursday and said we would meet the next day.”
Sadly, this meeting never happened. The day after they talked, the family received a shocking news that the actor suddenly collapsed.
He said:
“It was Friday and they called me to say he was dead. I’m asking now what happened. They told me he fell in the bathroom. He had passed away before they went to the hospital.”
