Kano 14th Emir of Muhammad Sanusi II approved the major appointment of the Kano Emirate Council and designated Alhaji Mannir Sanusi as the new Galadiman Kano, a traditional title that enjoys prestigiousness in the emirates.
In consultation with essential stakeholders, the consultative meeting aimed at strengthening the leadership of the emirate in view of the longest-serving member of the Council, Galadiman Kano Abbas Sanusi.
Prior to this promotion, Alhaji Sanusi took the position of Bichi Regional Head, where he paid tribute to his dedication to community development and traditional governance.
His new position as Galadiman Kano has promoted him to one of the highest positions in the Emirates Council.
In addition to the appointment, the Emirates announced other important title holders: Turakin Kano has been appointed Wamban Kano, Adam Sanusi has been appointed Tafidan Kano, and Ahmad Abbas has played the role of the new Yariman Kano.
Emir congratulated the appointed and encouraged them to perform their duties with integrity, wisdom and a firm commitment to the community.
