The PDP governor cried, claiming that President Tinob’s declaration in Rivers was biased and favored by FCT Secretary Nyesome Wike.
In recent events, the state Democratic Party (PDP) elected governor accused President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of favoring the federal capital territorial minister NYESOM WIKE in the midst of ongoing political turmoil.
The PDP Governor Forum condemned President Tinubu’s decision to the river crisis and showed solidarity with Forbala.
“It’s been a very difficult and difficult time in the political history of the state,” the forum said.
They argued that the president enabled FCT Minister Wike because the minister’s actions were part of a broader strategy orchestrated by the president and marked Tinubu’s silence on Wike as Golden and enabled it

“His stock on his lover must have an active role with the stock minister because of his footsteps in the river, he has played your script.
Recall that President Tinob declared a state of emergency in Rivers State, suspending Gov. Siminalayi Fubara, his deputy and all elected members of the state capitol for six months.
Tinubu further appointed retired deputy Admiral IBOK-ETE IBA as the administrator of the state during this period.
The PDP Governor Forum, led by Bala Mohammed, Governor of Bauchi State, expressed serious concern about the suspension of Rivers Governor of the Governor of Rivers State.
The forum described the president’s actions as “inaction”, posing a major threat to Nigeria’s democracy, and said,
“We explicitly say that this is an inaction attack on the river state, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and other opposition parties, which is the greatest threat to democracy from our dear country. Destroy the economy, undermine our national cohesion and stability.”
The forum’s statement stressed that the president’s actions were biased and unacceptable when he was addicted to Vick and his bending activities in the political turmoil of Rivers.
They explicitly told the president that Vick has become “the law of his own” because he is “playing your script” (President Tinubu). They criticized the approach as “unstable, biased and divisive”, warning that it could exacerbate national crisis and destabilize.
In addition, the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has also commented on the president’s actions, especially the suspension of elected officials under the pretext of emergency rule.
The NBA noted that constitutional restrictions must be strictly involved and described such behavior as evacuating elected officials in such circumstances as “unconstitutional and unacceptable.”
The PDP Governors Forum, consistent with the NBA, seeks judicial interpretation of Article 305(3) of the Nigerian Constitution, which is related to the declaration of a state of emergency.
They believe that the coronavirus situation in Rivers State does not guarantee such extreme measures, and that the president’s actions are a dangerous precedent for democracy in the country.
The PDP governor further called on President Tinubu to reverse the suspension of Governor Forbala and other democratic structures and urged him to listen to wise lawyers, acknowledge these mistakes and allow the democratic process to prevail.
They also warn that failing to do so could lead to national crisis, escalating insecurities and economic instability.
