Nigerian lady sends N55,200 to the wrong account after sharing experience

Anthonia Umerah, a Nigerian woman, sparked a conversation online after revealing she rejected ten marriage proposals in 2025 only.

Anthonia visited her Facebook page and explained that her decision was not about the role of men, but that they were unable to meet her financial expectations for marriage and the way she wanted to live.

    She wrote:
“This year alone, I rejected the top 10 men who want to marry me. Not because they are bad, but because they don’t have the money to take on the responsibility of marriage and the lifestyle I want to maintain. Husbands are not scarce. Rich people are not enough.”

Her posts have since sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some users criticizing her position as materialistic, while others defending her right to choose the partner she wants.

In other news…. Nigerian chef Rita Nnagbogu Ifeyinwa is preparing for the historic culinary challenge as she plans to cook the largest Ukodo and Beans in Asaba, Delta next week.

This bold attempt is expected to earn her a place in the Guinness World Record and join her with other Nigerians who have gained global recognition through groundbreaking achievements.

A philanthropist has reportedly promised ₦20 million to support the event. Sponsorship will provide the resources and logistics needed for large-scale cooking activities.

The highly anticipated occasion will attract food lovers, culture lovers and supporters eager to witness history. Ukodo is a traditional yam soup in Nigeria’s staple food, as well as beans next to it, making this event both celebrate food and culture.
