- FCT Minister Nyesom Wike described himself as the “Golden Minister” while announcing road projects in Katampe District.
- He noted that he served as governor of Rivers State during its 50th anniversary and now as Minister of FCT as Abuja prepares to celebrate its 50th anniversary, describing it as a sign of God’s love and urged people not to be jealous.

FCT Minister Nyesom Wike described himself as a “gold minister”, noting that he served as Rivers State Governor during the 50th anniversary period and is now FCT Minister as Abuja prepares to celebrate its 50th anniversary in February next year.
Wike, who was speaking at the launch of a road project in Katampe district, said the coincidence showed God’s love for him and urged people not to be jealous.
Wick said: “So, as Abuja celebrates 50 years of its golden age, do whatever it takes, it’s done.
“Some of us are very lucky. We were golden governors and now golden ministers, but not everyone will be that lucky.
“Some of you were governors when your state was less than 50 years old, some were parliament presidents when the state was on its 50th anniversary, but we became governors when the state reached its 50th golden jubilee and now we are ministers when the FCT reaches its 50th golden jubilee. So you ask yourself, are we not so loved by God?
“Well, you can sit in my seat, but that doesn’t mean you’re specially loved like God loves you.”
In other news… Fitness enthusiast Ama Udofa has sparked online discussion after sharing his dissatisfaction with how content creators are taking over gym spaces with recording equipment.
In a post on X, Udofa revealed that when he went to the gym for the first time in a year, he spent more time “dodging tripods” than actually exercising. His light-hearted complaint resonated with many users who had similar experiences.
One user named Darlington humorously commented that it was “a day in the life of a gym rat, left, right and centre,” while another user, Sharon, admitted that she avoids the gym entirely because she fears she’ll end up on someone’s Instagram or Snapchat story.
