Nigerian artist Orezi candidly explain why he disappeared from the music industry for a while. According to him, this is not an external force – it is internal.
“I became less ambitious. Where am I. I brought myself out of the game,” he said.
The singer admitted in a recent interview with Hip TV that the lack of motivation has affected his presence in the industry, and he compared Davido’s attitude to praise the singer’s consistency and hustle and bustle.
“The hustle and bustle of David Dey is like he never blows. Money, everything, but he’s been busy. That’s the spirit.”
On the ever-changing Afrobeats sound, Orezi shares his concerns about the loss of the core of the genre: dance.
“We love to go to parties, we love to dance. If you start removing it from Afrobeats and replace it with all these Vibe-y Vibe-y, then you’re going to kill Afrobeats.”
Now, back in 2025, Orezi said he has returned to the scene completely and is ready to fight alongside any artist.
“I’ve been around. I’m back. All my strength,” he said.
