Comrade MB Muhammad, a victim of the 2022 Abuja-Kaduna train attack, told how he had faced with one of his kidnappers while praying at a local mosque in Kaduna State.
Kaduna-based media figures and activists said when he noticed a familiar face among the worshippers, he went to the Shema-filled station mosque in the state’s Bakinruya area for prayers.
He said: “After praying, I walked towards him and asked him if he recognized me. He said yes and admitted that he was the one who kidnapped me.
According to the repentant kidnapper, he now makes a living for his family by making a living from a commercial motorcycle rider (Okada).
He also revealed that some of his former gang members were either killed or turned into new leaves.
Comrade MB told reporters that he chose to let go of the past and pray for the former kidnapper.
He said, “I forgive him and wish him all the best.”
