Experienced Nollywood actor Olaiya Igwe said he regrets Tope Alabi on the wedding day.
Speaking in a recent interview with Baba Ibe TV, the dramatist revealed that he failed to deliver on his earlier promise to Arabi and her husband Soji.
Igwe explained that the incident happened a few years ago when he bought a luxury car after the release of his popular movie Ollade Mr Mone.
He said while preparing for the wedding, Arabi and her husband visited him while narrating the incident and begged for his car to officially take the bus, but despite initial agreement, he was disappointed by ignoring their phone.
He said he begged for their forgiveness. But when he recalls the incident, he still feels introverted.
Igway said:The biggest hurt I did to my sister, singer Tope Alabi, and still hurt me. She told me about her wedding, when I just bought a car “V boots”. That was when I was making the “Olalade Mon Mone” movie, and before I collected the plate numbers, I had already carved the Ollalade Mrone 1 in the car.
So I went to Ibadan, Oyo State to show one of my movies, my car was stolen by robbers, but then the day after the news spread to radio stations and other platforms, my car was restored. When I came back from Ibadan, Tope Alabi in Abeokuta and my brothers said we were reluctant to talk about wedding issues with me for our wedding.
But after she left, I thought the second time if the armed robbers snatched the car from them. I answered the phone the day before the wedding. I didn’t give her a car. I was disappointed with Tope Alabi. But she now has countless luxury cars, some of which I can’t afford, so until today, to this day, I still can’t help but the Top Algi, I’ve had regrets.
