Dayo Amusa lashed out at them about how they chose to raise babies.
The actress who welcomed her first child three months ago said people have been asking if she is breastfeeding.
She asked when she could ask her mother such a question.
She said many mothers cannot breastfeed for a variety of reasons and should not feel stressed about it.
She then added that she did not breastfeed as a baby, but she put it well.
She wrote: “You are breastfeeding, it’s a face that feeds the baby. I’m raising my son, is it related to pumping or giving him formula? No. But for some reason, that’s what many people want to know…
“When people smile at my baby while checking out at the grocery store, even strangers ask the same question “You are breastfeeding the baby” because when can I ask.
“This is everything my baby has. He was fed by his breasts and by his bottles. What matters is that he is healthy. I mean 3 months old.
“There is a debate around formula for feeding and breastfeeding. OK, guess what? It has nothing to do with you. Maybe she can’t produce enough milk to feed her children. Maybe the baby won’t lock. Maybe she doesn’t feel the connection to nursing. Maybe it’s too time-consuming. Everything doesn’t matter.
“As mothers of babies, in those early days, it takes too much strength and patience. The last thing we need between lack of sleep and the cry of newborns is the extra stress of trying to please everyone.
“If we can’t produce enough milk or just choose not to do so, we don’t need to feel ingrained.
Mom, you do. Choose whatever is best for you and your baby. Don’t listen to others. As women, we need to show support to each other. Let’s stop for “best breasts”. We need to remember this.
“For record, I was fed to the baby…and I proved it was good. @babyolufire #babyolufire.
