I went to Bbnaija to gain visibility in acting career – Bambam

Former Big Brother Naija housemate Oluwabamike Adebuniyan popularly known as Bambam has revealed why she joined the reality show.

According to Bambam, she went to the show to gain visibility to help advance her acting career.

In a recent interview, the Royal College of Art graduate said: “One of the main reasons I did Big Brother was because I needed the visibility of a more professionally trained actor.”

She further highlighted the challenges of securing acting roles and the low salaries associated with the industry.

She was quoted as saying: “It’s not easy to stand out as a filmmaker in this industry because it’s so saturated. So yes, going to a show like Big Brother gives you an unfair advantage over others.”

Addressing the misconception that reality TV stars take precedence over talent, Bambam clarified, “What makes brands come to you is that you are famous. Brands will not want to identify with anyone who does not have good engagement on social media platforms. So, social media platforms are actually your work tools and it makes brands want to work with you. “
