IMO State Governor Hope Uzodinma warned the political leaders of the IMO East Senate District, widely known as the Owerri District, not to heat up the political system.
He urged regional leaders to maintain peace and refused to take actions that could undermine the political environment.
The governor issued a warning at a meeting with Owerri district leaders under the Aegis at the Owerri Harmony Project in Owerri.
He further said he said he could not solve all the problems in the state, adding that he would only do some problems when his successor did the rest.
He said:I welcome you to the IMO Government Building, your house. Feeling at home. Democracy is about the people, you represent the people. I am very grateful for your implicit confidence vote in my leadership. This is a great trust and I will try to prove it.
“I won’t solve all the problems in IMO. I will do what I can, but the people who come to follow me should be able to do some. So we have to use taxpayer money for our people. We will support the merits. We have to seek merits because we need a brave man. You I saw the insecurity that I showed up. You can see the grace of God, we are able to survive, so we need a focused, bold, brave person. That’s my prayer for the kind of person who will be my successor. Maybe not the troublemaker but the one who has to fight has to fight. “
