ICPC arrested deputy commander of NSCDC and former admiral allegedly fraudulent.
Nigeria News Nalin It is reported that the Independent Corruption and Other Related Crimes Commission (ICPC) arrested Adam Imam Yusuf, deputy commander of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) in Kogi State, allegedly transferred 3 billion guild.
Yusuf until now, his residence in gwagwalada, Abuja was detained and will face prosecution.
ICPC investigations show that former Navy Chief of Staff Usman Jibrin (Rtd.) vice president allegedly planned the fraud through Yusuf and former Brigadier General Ishaya Bauka Gangum (Rtd.).
The program reportedly involved the transfer of public funds using 92 virtual companies that were not registered with the Company Affairs Commission (CAC).
The ICPC investigation traces the funds back to Lahab Integated, Gate Coast Properties and other affiliates, resulting in the acquisition of more than 18 properties, including fill stations.
So far, four of these properties have been confiscated to the government, and legal proceedings for the remaining assets continue. The ICPC is also stepping up efforts to arrest other suspects.
