Foreign Minister Yusuf Tuggar’s son Adam Tuggar refuted the claim that Boki State lieutenant Governor Auwal Jatau beat his father at a recent public event.
In a statement shared on his official Facebook page on Saturday, Adam Tuggar slammed the son of Butch Governor Shamsuddeen Bala Mohammed for spreading unfounded rumors.
Tug is known for keeping political views away from social media, saying, “The recent shameful move of the governor of Bauchi State and his media dog spoiled kid forced me to lose my temper.”
He further criticized Shamsuddeen for promoting false narratives, calling him “educated illiterate” and claimed that he had previously targeted respected figures like Atiku Abubakar rather than political differences.
Adam stressed that the allegations against the charges, “If it was your father, he took a photo. He accused Shamsuddeen of trying to get unnecessary attention, calling it “immoral” and “at a loss.”
Adam also noted that his father, Yusuf Tuggar, came from a political family with deep roots and pointed to his father’s past role as a senator during his time in the Second Republic of Nigeria.
He questioned the political contributions of Shamsuddeen’s family, adding “Then where is your grandfather? Who is he? What has he contributed to the development of Bauchi State, let alone the entire Nigeria?”
Adam continued to criticize the young Barra for taking “stupid” actions, accusing him of embarrassing himself and his family by spreading so-called lies.
He said “Next time, when two elephants fight, learn to pull that hole in their mouth; otherwise, you will continue to waste a little respect left on the Bauchi political stage.”
He also warned Shamsuddeen to focus on more important issues, especially in the context of his father’s responsibility in Bauchi, rather than diverting his attention through fabricated stories.
Adam concluded that “Your father has more pressing problems to solve. He should focus on the affairs of Bauchi’s country, rather than diverting the public’s attention by fabricating and spreading these stories.”
Lieutenant Governor’s Press Secretary denies allegations
At the same time, the deputy governor of Baoqi Prefecture, Auel Jathaouthis allegation has been absolutely denied. His press secretary, Muslim Law, told Bauchi’s reporter that the allegation was considered false.
He insisted “No, no, how can the lieutenant governor beat a minister? I don’t think there is such a thing on Bauchi because I know that I can never beat the minister or anyone as a responsible leader and Bauchi’s second citizen.”
Lawal claimed that it was the first time he had heard of the incident, and he also said that the lieutenant governor would never engage in such behavior.
He added, “If there is any evidence that the Lieutenant Governor does this, you can say you don’t know about it. We don’t know. The Lieutenant Governor can’t do it.”
The controversy stems from an incident in Emir, the palace of former governor Muhammad Abdullahi Abubakar, whose turban is Makama Babba 1 of Butcher Emirates.
