Police Attorney General IGP Kayode Egbetokun appointed Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Osifo Tony Emefile as the new sports director of the Nigerian police force.
Naija News Reports said this was known in a statement by a military public relations official on Friday night Private Adjobi.
Recall that the outgoing director of the Sports Force – Chief of Police (CP) Patrick A. Atayero was appointed on March 26, 2020, shortly after the successful end of the 12th Biennale Police Games (Bipoga), Tagged Anambra 2020.
The statement reads:With the firm support of IGP and Force Management, the CP undoubtedly uncovered the foundations of the Nigerian movement pillars in the NPF, which is evident in many achievements from 2020 to the present.
“The incoming director has extensive experience and seasonings to take the troop movement to a more prestigious height. DCP Osifo is a former police machine ACE forward, 1993/1994, the Bernwita Award winner’s top goal scorer Winner, former board member of the Nigeria Scrabble Federation 2013-2017, pioneer of police spelling games, current president of the Association of Police Sports Associations and chairs of the Technical Subcommittee of Bipogas, 13th and 14th Bipogas. He is also currently serving as the Nigerian Professional Football League League Representative and security consultant of the Management Committee’s forces.
“The Inspector General of the Police Department promoted his heartfelt promotion to the new sports director while accusing him of improving the feat of his predecessor recording in order to improve sport development in the Nigerian police force.”
