Nigerian singer and rapper Lil Kesh shared his thoughts on the challenge of gaining fame at a young age, calling the experience “overwhelming.”
In a recent interview on Esther Show, on X uploads Sunday, “Young and Coet It” Hitmaker opened up on the rise of teenage years to the stars.
“It felt overwhelming early on. I blew it at a very gentle age. I was 19 when I signed up,” Lil Kesh recalls. “When I had ‘Shoki’, I just turned 20. So imagine I didn’t think that was that much.”

He also yelled at global pop stars like Justin Bieber, who has been open to the early struggles. “Screaming to someone like Justin Bieber, he’s easy to tell his story. I’ve gone through something similar,” he said.
Lil Kesh reflects on the sacrifices brought about by early success, admits that he missed some of his life experiences, and he feels he should have gone through them before he can become the focus of attention.
He explained: “I was in the spotlight since I was a very young man and I was deprived of a lot of things; the life experience I should have learned. I was in a very high position at such an early stage. It was overwhelming to try to handle all of these things.”
