Lib earlier reported that the musician’s daughter, Damilola Adeniyi, raised concerns about his whereabouts. Damilola claims that his elder brother, who was the manager of his father, “kidnapping” him and holding him in an isolated area against his will. However, in the video recording posted online, King Sunny Ade dismissed his daughter’s claim, saying his children believed he was kidnapped because they didn’t see him while on vacation.
In the video, the 78-year-old musician thanked his fans for their support, stressing that no one kidnapped him.
“My kids want to see me, they thought I was kidnapped after a few days of leaving. But I thank God, I’m not k!dnapped, I don’t have k!dnap myself.”
Earlier, Dayo issued a statement declaring that music artists were “safe and sound”.
“There is no truth to the kidnapping rumors, and we are taking appropriate steps to resolve this situation and identify those responsible for spreading this false information.”
Adegeye reassures fans and kind-hearted people, “King Sunny Ade, the king of the world, was not kidnapped or kidnapped by anyone.
