Benue State Police Command’s operator of the Joint Security Task Force Operation Zenda, has 11 bandits suspected of armed herders.

Operation Zenda is said to have had a gun showdown with the suspect in response to a call in distress with the community in Buruku and Ushongo local government areas.
According to community sources, the incident occurred between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
The bandits suspected of armed herders lost 11 members, while an official reportedly died.
Bodies, including police officers, are said to have been stored in an undisclosed morgue in the state capital Makurdi.
Benue State Command spokesman Catherine Anene confirmed the incident, adding that she will provide more details later.
