
Kano State Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf praised the efforts of the State Services (DSS) in a swift and decisive action to arrest Sakina Mamuda, Sakina Mamuda, in the Duhun Bake Village Village village in the Gwarzo Local Government Government Area.
They brutally kidnapped her on Thursday, May 8, 2025, after which the suspects were said to have kidnapped the baby girl and demanded ransom from her family, according to a statement from governor spokesman Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.
However, the perpetrator ruthlessly abandoned her D3AD body in an abandoned open good.
The arrested suspects have been identified as: Abdullah Salmanu, Abdullah Salisu, all from Aboubacar local government government government government government government government government government areas.

Governor Yusuf expressed deep grief over the incident and praised the positive responses of DSS agents and other security agencies.
He further reiterated the government’s commitment to strengthening state security agencies by increasing investment in intelligence gathering, logistics and inter-agency cooperation.
“This meaningless tragedy has shaken us the core,” the governor said. “I commend DSS for acting quickly and decisively. We will continue to prioritize the safety of our people and ensure that those who threaten our peace are brought to justice.”
