    • The Independent National Election Commission (INEC) dismissed a viral social media ad, claiming it was recruiting people.
    • The committee clarified that the ads and their portals were fake, urging the public to ignore the scam and avoid becoming victims of fraudsters.

The Independent National Election Commission (INEC) has reminded Nigerians of fraudulent job advertisements posted on social media.

According to the committee, the forged ad claims that INEC is recruiting various positions and directing unsuspecting applicants to the fake portal http://inecrecrecruitment.com to submit applications.

INEC stressed that it does not run such websites and has not yet conducted any recruitment activities.

In a strongly worded statement, the committee urged the public to ignore the ads and avoid becoming victims of criminals behind the scam.

“The committee has not recruited. Don’t be a victim of criminal antics,” Statement reading.

INEC further advises Nigerians to always verify official information through their real communication channels before taking any recruitment or related announcements.
