Olajide Adediran, also known as Jandor, the 2023 governor candidate for the People’s Democratic Party of Lagos State (PDP), expressed disappointment at the party’s national level.
Naija News Jando reportedly resigned from PDP on Monday, as well as his supporters in 20 local governments and 37 local council areas in the state.
However, in an interview on Channel TV Politics on Tuesday, March 4, 2015, Jando revealed that the chairman of the state party of the Lagos State PDP issued a press release on the eve of the election, asking them to withdraw from the competition.
He said it had nothing to do with him, emphasizing that it was a PDP transaction.
He said “I’m disappointed with the PDP at the national level. Let me tell you what happened on the eve of the election. The state party chairman of the PDP at Lagos State University released a release addressing the forced coalition, which never said we were out of the game. It’s not fake news. It’s totally happening.
“It’s done to make sure we’re not going anywhere. It’s not about me. They do it with Obanico and Williams. It’s not just Jendo. They do it more than just because that’s Jendo. It’s their trade.”
Jandor added that he had no decision on which party to join, and he said he would consult with his people before making any decisions.
