Former president aspirants under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) platform, DELE MOMODUwarned that President Bola Tinubu should not defect by blind trust.
Naija News The report said MOMODU’s comments came after the rebellion of the Delta State Governor, Oborevwori, his agents, Onyeme and former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Monday with All Propersives Congress (APC) and on Wednesday in the state’s state legislators and key PDP stakeholders as well as major PDP stakeholders across the state.
In a Wednesday interview on Channel TV politics, Momodo claimed that the political readjustment with the ruling party was not driven by a love for Tinubu or his performance.
PDP firms warn the president of distrust politicians and deviate from democratic values.
He said “I’m not surprised by this – it’s been severely harassed lately; it’s nothing new. It’s surprising to me if President Bola Tinubu really believes people are joining the APC because they love him or he’s doing a great job.
“My advice to Asiwaju is that he should not trust these politicians.
“My advice to him is simple: stick to our democratic purpose. Don’t turn Nigeria into a democratic dictatorship. No matter what happens, you are a pro-democratic person. Before becoming president. Please let democracy breathe in Nigeria. If you don’t, I can pick out my life, which will be a deep regret in life.”
