The controversial CEO of relationship therapist Blessing has finally addressed speculation surrounding a video she posted on Instagram that many online users believed showed her partner, popular car dealer IVD, physically abusing her.
In a lengthy video shared on social media, the Blessing CEO dismissed the accusations, mocked her critics and made it clear that no man should be able to lay a hand on her.
She said:
“If something happened to my relationship, what could you do for me? Is your voice bigger than mine, or is your platform bigger than mine? I have a huge platform to talk and scream. What can your gossip or comments do? Absolutely nothing. You just sit in the comments section and make noise. If I need help, I know who to call.”
Responding to claims she had been attacked with an IVD, she added:
“IVD can’t beat me. I didn’t pass that level. IVD knows if he beats me, we’re going to fight. There’s a difference between a man beating a woman and a fight. You knock me out and I knock you out. I’m 36 years old and no one can beat me at this level.”
She also criticized those who seemed to get excited about her alleged relationship issues, insisting she was more than capable of handling any situation in life.
“I have the phone number of the Inspector General of Police, the phone number of AIG and even the contact details of the military. If I wanted to deal with my people I would call them. A lot of you who are shouting online need to help yourselves,” she said.
The Blessing CEO further clarified that the video was not related to domestic violence, but to the robbery incident. According to her, authorities instructed her to delete the video so as not to interfere with the ongoing investigation.
“When the investigation calms down, I will tell you what exactly happened. This was an aggravated robbery and the police asked us to remove the video because social media has a way of downplaying things,” she explained.
