Chinedu Okeke, the top scorer for UTME in 2025, has raised suspicion of fouls in Jamb’s score, which is a center of controversy.
Jamb revealed that Okeke had previously studied medicine at UNN in 2024, which raised questions about his 2025 exam.
However, education tech expert Alex Onyia defended Okeke, noting that he was affected by a system failure during his UTME and had to reprint his exam mistakes and perform repeated tests, with a score of 375.
Onyia added that any data differences related to Okeke are derived from early issues in 2021, involving misinformation of the NIN platform, which has been corrected by JAMB.
“Chinesedu filled out all required documents appropriately and his update details have been transferred to JAMB. Inconsistency is not his job,” said Onyia.
Onyia urged the board to investigate thoroughly and considered apologizing to Okeke to question his integrity and stressed that students follow due process and that they are not at fault for the inconsistencies.
