Ghanaian actor, farmer and entrepreneur John Kofi Setor Dumelo has been appointed Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture in Ghana.
Dumelo, currently serving as a member of the parliament of the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency in the Greater Accra region, has been an advocate for agriculture and youth participation in the industry.
Dumelo was born on February 3, 1984 and began his education at King The King School in Actra, before attending the Achimota School where He is an active member of the Drama Club. He worked in civil engineering at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and later studied at the School of Public Services and Governance in Gimpa.
Dumelo began his acting career in the early 1990s and appeared in the 1992 film Baby thief Although still a student at King of Christ. In addition to his performance, he is committed to crop and animal farming, always regarding agriculture as a viable career path for Ghanaian youth.
