
Jude Okoye left Ikoyi prison after being remanded in custody for allegedly stealing $1 million (£34,000).
Rahman Oshodi of the Special Crime Court of Ikeja ordered remands on Tuesday for Jude Okoye, former manager of the music duo P-Square of Ikoyi Correctional Centre, until his bail application hearing was allegedly stolen $1 million and £34,000 bail application hearing.
After Okoye accepted the request, the judge issued an order.
Okoye and his company, Northside Music Limited, were arraigned for four thefts and conversions under digital distribution and publishing royalties.
Defense attorney Clement Onovano (SAN) told the court that he filed a bail application on February 27, 2025 and filed a lawsuit on February 28.
Today, on March 6, 2025, a bail hearing occurred and Jude Okoye, who met all the conditions, left the Ikoyi Correctional Center.
The trial is scheduled to begin from May 16 to 23, 2025. Okoye also faces seven charges before Justice Alexander Owoeye of the Federal High Court.
