Ebenezer obeys death rumor, declaring he is still alive and healthy

Nigerian music icon Ebenezer Ofey dismissed new claims that he had allegedly died after a stroke.

The 83-year-old Juju music legend, known as the “Chief Commander”, appeared in a video shared on Sunday through his Instagram page, where he sang happily, I have a God who has never failed with his two sons.

The singer laughed at the rumor and insisted that he was still alive and healthy.

In the editing, the veteran singer expressed displeasure at the false news of his death and described it as an evil plot. He said:

“God’s men, ladies and gentlemen, the enemy is coming again. I left Lagos this morning and I arrived in London a few hours ago. On arrival, I saw the videotape and I declared again that the “enemy” was dead, my enemy had a stroke, and all the lies were talking.”

According to him, some even showed coffins and photos to support fake reports. But Obey boldly declared that all lies would not be brought over.

The singer revealed that he only went to London for personal care, not because of bad health. He said:

“I didn’t have a stroke. I came to London to take care of myself. Nothing they said was just a lie from the Kingdom of Darkness. I’m still alive, I’m still alive, I’m still alive. Thank you very much.”

This is not the first rumor about the death of the music legend. In recent years, Obey has repeatedly had to expose similar false reports.
