The House unanimously passed the tax bill.
Representatives approved four tax reform bills and are currently awaiting approval from Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
This is after the House Finance Committee carefully reviewed part of the bill’s reasons, such as the VAT and estate tax on Thursday.
The bill was sent to the National Assembly by the President in October 2024.

The bill has led to many controversial comments from northern leaders and other groups who oppose certain parts of the bill.
