The bandits kidnapped the parish priest of the quasi-parished parish of St. Gerald in Kurmin Rizga Village, Kauru local government area, Kaduna State.
Pastor James Ibrahim was kidnapped in the early hours of Wednesday, April 23, 2025.
Intelligence sources told security analyst Zagazola Makama that a group of armed bandits invaded Kurmin Rizga, shot sporadically, kidnapped Pastor Ibrahim James and took him to an unknown location.
In response, in partnership with other security agencies, the Nigerian military has conducted search operations in collaboration with other security agencies to locate and rescue pastors.
Efforts are underway to arrest the suspect and ensure the safe return of the victims.
