

Former Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema explains why he decided to leave Galaticos at the end of last season.
French International left Real Madrid at the end of the contract and joined Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad. Karim Benzema spoke in an interview with Fabrizio Romano’s official social media account.
The striker confirmed that he left their decision because he never wanted to play with Real Madrid.
What does Karim Benzema say about leaving Real Madrid?
“My decision to go to Saudi Arabia is also because I want to put Real Madrid on top and I don’t want to fight Real Madrid in my life.”
He also confirmed that Florentino Perez was the first person he told when he wanted to leave Real Madrid.
“Florentino Perez was the first person I didn’t know much about when I decided to leave Real Madrid, and I told him that young stars Vinicius and Rodrygo were ready.”
Karim Benzema has had an incredible success with Real Madrid, winning 25 trophies during the club. These trophys include four La Liga champions, three Copa del Rey champions, and five UEFA Champions League champions.
