
Three senators from Kebbi state; Adamu Aliero, Yahaya Abdullahi and Garba Maidoki announced their intentions from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
It was announced on Friday, May 9, following a meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Abuja State Capitol.
The Senator is accompanied by APC President Abdullahi Ganduje. Aliero stands for Kebbi Central, Abdullahi stands for Kebbi North, and Maidoki stands for Kebbi South in the National Assembly.
The meeting was also attended, including Nasir Idris, Governor of Kebi State; Ahmad Aliyu, Governor of Sokoto State; Atiku Bagudu, Minister of Budget and Economic Planning.
The decision by lawmakers to be consistent with the ruling party is seen as a strategic drive for APC within Kebbi State and the national legislative structure.
