
Lost singer R. Kelly is facing new lawsuits from six alleged victims claiming he failed to sentence him to a $10.3 million verdict in 2023. TMZvictims – Lizette Martinez, Lisa Van Allen, Kelly Rogers, Faith Rogers, Roderick Roderick Gartrell and Gem Pratts, who together received less than $500,000 in $500,000 and still owe $9.9 million.
#The verdict stems from allegations from Kelly and his former record record Universal Music, closed the life Documentary Surviving R. Kelly In 2018. The victims who shared their experience of abuse in the documentary are now seeking a free balance between Kelly and universal music.
The verdict was made in August 2023, but Kelly reportedly questioned it, claiming that he was not aware of the case and should not be held responsible. His current attorney, Jennifer Bonjean, told TMZ The default judgment has been filed before joining Kelly’s legal team and confirming that the appeal is pending.
Kelly is currently sentenced to 30 years in prison for sexual offences, and he is under review for whether his victims will receive full compensation. Despite partial payments received, six victims believed they were entitled to the remaining millions.
The case adds to Kelly’s growing legal and financial distress as victims continue to pursue justice.
