National Propaganda Minister Abayomi Arabambi claimed that the party’s former chief Kenneth Okonkwo has been colluding with President Bola Tinubu’s government, Because his loyalty has never been with them.
Naija News The report said the Arabambi’s statement came after Okonkwo’s resignation on Tuesday, and the former presidential campaign spokesman believed the party did not exist as the main reason for dumping Labor.
But in an interview on Channel TV politics today Wednesday, Arabbee said Kenneth Okonkwo’s withdrawal was relief to the party, which plans to seize the incumbent government in 2027.
He warned Nollywood actors not to talk about the party, stressing that the LP did not lead the crisis and that the party was not extinct.
Arabambi also said the party would not tolerate any kind of political breakdown and was taking positive steps to eliminate those loyal people elsewhere.
He said “We hope Mr. Kenneth Okonkwo is good, his resignation is a good obstacle to bad trash. He shouldn’t talk about Labour anymore.
“Labor has no leadership crisis. Labour will not become extinct. This is just an image of the imagination of most of our critics.
“The APC man has previously worked with President Tinubu, Kenneth Okonkwo, who confronted Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar in the 2023 election. We wish him all the best and we will meet in 2027.
“But in 2027 we won’t have such a political breakdown in our party. The President is on a reconciliation mission, which is why you’re seeing a lot of people jittering.”
When asked why there is an LP that has not paid the supplier two years later, he said “Two people will be able to answer this, that is aishat yesufu and itua ighodalo. They are in charge of the party’s funding, and even the party they deal with the party’s money, they should solve this problem.”
