Senior actor-turned politician Kenneth Okonkwo announced that the only way to defeat President Bora Tinubu in the 2027 general election is to get the opposition or the numbers working together.
He also expressed confidence in the coalition for the 2027 presidency, but he was not sure who would lead the coalition.
However, the former Labour presidential campaign spokesman failed to rule out cooperation among the party’s 2023 presidential candidates Peter Obiand his opponent in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Aboubacar.
Okonkwo said on the Sunday politics of the channel TV that the 2027 election will be Tinubu’s walk over, except for the opposition parties forming a coalition.
“Moving to 2027, I know there will be an alliance. I don’t know if it will be between Peter Obie and Attiku, but there will be an alliance. Why? Because that will be the only option for the opposition,Okonkwo said.

The former LP chief added that in addition to winning the election, the candidate must also win in Nigeria.
“In Nigeria, we unfortunately have to not only win, but you have to ensure your victory.” He said.
