
Catholic priest Revised version of Father Collalus Mazak Damaker, The people kidnapped in Abuja have fled the kidnappers.
Pastor Damulak of the Catholic Diocese of Shendam, Plateau State kidnapped in the early morning of Thursday, February 6, 2025 at Zuma of the Bwari Regional Commission of Abuja.
Pastor Damulak is a student of the University of Veritas, Abuja, according to a statement released by the parish.
A spokesman for Niger State Police Commander Sp Wasiu Abiodun confirmed the development in a statement Friday, February 14, saying the victim was rescued by police patrol after finding roaming around Pogo-Paiko Highway.
““On February 14, 2025, about 12 weeks, the alleged kidnapping victim roamed around the Pogo-Paiko expressway, with the police patrol attached to the Chanchaga Div and immediately rescued to the police department,” the statement said.
“During the interrogation, the victim was identified as a student of Cornelius Damulak, 36 years old and Abuja Veritas University.
“It was revealed that the victim was taken away from a forest to another by a suspected kidnapper at his residence in Abujabwari on Thursday, February 6, 2025, and he was taken away from one forest to another forest.
“Luckily, he was able to escape from the kidnapper on February 13, 2025 and found himself along Minna’s Pogo-Paiko Highway after a long hike and was immediately rescued to Div.
“The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment and efforts to find his relatives are intensifying.”
