
Edo State Police Command has successfully saved his Royal Highness, and Ehizojie was a traditional ruler of the kidnapped Udo-eguare community in the Ign Local Government Area of Ignia.
Onogie of Udo-eguare was kidnapped in a forest between Ubiaja and Udo communities on February 3 while traveling on commercial motorcycles. Sadly, the motorcycle rider was shot dead at the time of the incident.
According to CSP Moses Yamu, the headquarters spokesman, the rescue was achieved through continuous searches and rescue efforts involving police and vigilance.
“The order is pleased to inform the public that the ongoing search and rescue operations have achieved positive results,” Yamu said.
He noted that Police Chief Betty Otimenyin fulfilled his promise to ensure the safe return of the ruler. The operation was achieved through logistical support provided by Governor Okpebholo on Monday.
The spokesman expressed his vigilance for contributing to the action and reaffirming the order’s commitment to combat crime in the state, and the hunters and other residents expressed their gratitude.
