
The kidnapper was charged with a Nigerian Army soldier Abdulfatai Odutola, who delayed the ransom of 20 million.
Odutola is a senior non-commissioned officer (SNCO) who was kidnapped on February 15, 2025 on the Abuja-Jos Highway.
He reportedly went to Yula, the capital of Adamawa State when the incident occurred.
His kidnappers demanded the release of Rs 20 million.
A military internal memorandum obtained earlier by Saharareporter reads: “The information we contacted me now is that MWO Abdulfatai Odutola (CC 23 Bde Yola) was along Abuja Jos Road yesterday yesterday (Abuja-Jos Road) kidnapped Yola. He left Ilorin on Friday, February 14, 2025 and slept in Abuja. Yesterday he continued to move the B4 incident from Abuja.
“Currently, they request N20,0000 n20,0000. Please help with the appropriate authority.”
However, another internal memorandum revealed that the bodies of senior personnel have been recovered.
