    Kidnapping Navy officer rescued from Fulani Resettlement Area

    Federal Capital Region (FCT) Police Department has confirmed the rescue of kidnapped naval officers Cynthia Akoand two civilians were kidnapped in Mpape, Abuja.

    Naija News Report the FCT order spokesperson, SP Josephine AdehIn a statement Sunday, Lieutenant Akoh and other kidnapped victims were rescued through cooperative efforts by police and the military.

    According to her, the kidnappers attacked Maman Vatsa real estate gate and blocked Mpape Road on March 21, demanding a ransom of 500 million Luce for the naval officers, while the ransom for the two civilians was 200 million.

    Adeh revealed that naval officials and other visits were rescued in Fulani reset in Anguwan Mu’azu and Yelwa Hills in Nasarawa state.

    The commander’s spokesman said four suspects were arrested, and the amount of 3.2 million was suspected of ransom from previous kidnappings, but had been recovered from the suspects.

    “After receiving the distress report, Deputy Chief of Police (Operation), FCT Police Command DCP Isyaku Sharu, in collaboration with the military authorities, mobilized a joint operation composed of the police command’s anti-Kidnapping units and Nigerian military personnel, consisting of Nigerian military personnel, DSS Hunters, DSS Hunters and members of local hunters.

    “Intuitive actions were conducted at Malmape, Baid House and Yelwa Hills covering areas of FCT and Nazarawa states.

    “Trained reliable intelligence operations between 2:00 and 5:30 am on March 23, 2025, agents tracked the suspects to the relocation of Fulani of Anguwan Mu’azu and Yelwa Hills, Nasarawa State University, where four (4) suspects were arrested and arrested from them, thus being rescued from numerous redemptions. The action was found from the suspects,” he said. She said.

    Adeh added that the kidnapping victims were in a stable condition. She urged FCT residents to report any suspicious activity to the police.

    “The victim is currently in a stable state and is receiving medical care at the Nigerian Army Clinic.

    “At the same time, efforts are being made to track and arrest the remaining suspects of the entire suspect at the moment. In MPAPE and surrounding areas, security deployment has also been strengthened to prevent future occurrences. As members of the public are advised to conduct daily activities without worry.

    “The FCT Police Command urges residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the police.” she added.
