Kidwaya slams Nigerians for celebrating politicians’ wrongdoings

    • Kidwaya criticized Nigerians for idolizing politicians despite their wrongdoings.
    • He pointed out the paradox that people praise politicians publicly but complain about their decisions online.
    • Much of Kidwaya’s criticism comes from those who prefer ridicule to demands for better governance.

Former Big Brother Naija star Kiddwaya took to social media to criticize Nigerians for idolizing politicians and ignoring their wrongdoings.

In a post on 𝕏, Kiddwaya highlighted how many people publicly praise and seek favors from politicians, only to retreat and complain online when decisions negatively impact the public. He noted that most of the criticism he received came from those who preferred ridicule and joking rather than demanding better governance.

Kiddwaya wrote, “You keyboard warriors idolize politicians and praise their misbehavior. You cheer and beg when you meet them in person, but you don’t have the courage to hold them accountable when their actions hurt us all. All you can do online is insult people like me and make stupid jokes. The joke is on you.”

His comments sparked mixed reactions. Some users agreed with him but pointed out that Kiddwaya’s father had political connections, suggesting that Nigerians often look outward for solutions rather than taking direct action. Others asked the reality star to reveal the specific steps he has personally taken to hold leaders accountable.

Another social media user supported Kidwaya’s sentiments, observing that while Nigerians often criticize pastors and celebrities, they still praise politicians in person and only vent their frustration online when something goes wrong.

    See the post below:

You keyboard idiots are going to idolize politicians. Praise them for their bad behavior. You cheer and beg when you see them, and you don’t have the guts to do anything when they make bad decisions that affect us all, but the only power you have is to go online and cry like a bitch. Why not…
