KILLAM Postdoctoral Research Fellowship 2023-2024 is open to international students. The scholarship provides an annual stipend of $50,000 for up to two years, plus a $4,000 travel research stipend for two years and more benefits.
The Killam Scholarship was established in memory of Itzhak Walton Killam through the will of his spouse, Dorothy Johnston Killam, and through donations during her lifetime. Their main goal is to support higher education and research at five Canadian universities and the Canada Council for the Arts.
The UBC Killam Postdoctoral Research Fellowship is awarded annually by the Izaak Walton Killam Memorial Fund for Advanced Research and is available in most fields of study. Eligibility Criteria for KILLAM Postdoctoral Research Fellowship
To be eligible for the KILLAM Postdoctoral Research Fellowship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Required language: English
- Eligible countries: All countries in the world
- May not pursue a PhD degree at any University of British Columbia campus.
- All requirements for the PhD degree must be completed within 24 months prior to the expected start date of the fellowship.
- Must not currently hold a tenure-track or continuing faculty position at a university or college. Applicants currently holding temporary, semester-long, or non-tenure-track faculty positions are eligible to apply.
Please follow the steps below to obtain the KILLAM Postdoctoral Research Fellowship:
- Make or obtain a copy of your original academic record
- Send them to your university and ask your university to:
- Verify that the copy matches its record
- Certification that the copy is authentic and bears the official seal of the university
- Place the certified, stamped copy in a sealed envelope approved by the Registrar
- Submit a sealed, endorsed envelope to School of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies, Killam Postdocs, 6371 Crescent Road, Vancouver BC V6T 1Z2.
