New Police Commissioner CP Olohundare Moshood Jimoh has served as the 41st Police Commissioner for the Lagos State Command. He took over from CP Olanrewaju Ishola, PSC (+) to be redeployed as forced headquarters, Abuja.
CP Jimoh CP Jimoh from Ilorin, Kwara State studied political science at Ahmadu Bello University and was appointed as the assistant principal of the police in 2000.
Command spokesman CSP Benjamin Hundeyin said the new police boss worked in different parts of the country, including Katsina, Cross River, Anambra, FCT, Oyo, Oyo, Gombe and Rivers. He was the Divisional Police (DPO) of the Central Police Department of Abuja; the Public Relations Officer of the Force; the Deputy Commissioner of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Airport Police Command; the Chief and Deputy Commissioner of the OYO State Police Department, and the Deputy Director of General Investigation of the Gorbe FCID Attachment.
“He has received several professional training, including: Combat Operations Course, Police Mobile Training Academy, Maiduguri; U.S. Embassy’s First Responder Training Course, U.S. Embassy, Abuja; South Korea’s police prevention at the Seoul Police Training Academy; Social Construction and Management Reform of the China Executive Leadership Academy; China Maritime Police Academy Ningbo, China; China Maritime Rescue and Salvage; China’s Beijing, China’s Special Police Academy, China’s Anti-Away Field Technical and tactical training; and wise government and informatization at the Institute of International Business Officials (AIBO) in Beijing, China.
CP Jimoh is the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations recognition of the quality of public relations and has received his purity and outstanding contribution to the development and use of public relations, thus receiving the President of Public Relations Personality Award of the Year. He was also a member of the African Union peacekeeping mission of Darfur Sudan, where he received recognition for his commendable service. ”
He is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management Consultants (IMC); a Certified Management Consultant (CMC); a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Management Consultants (IMC); a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Company Management; an Assistant to the Nigerian Advertising Regulatory Commission (ARCON); and a Member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations. Prior to the appointment, CP Jimoh was the Chief of Police Department of Port Port Port Police Department.
