
Lagos State Police Command has made a major breakthrough in its investigation into the recent homicide case reported by the Oko-Oba department.
The headquarters spokesman, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, said the report of the command murdered an unidentified man in a serviced apartment in the Abule Egba area on March 29.
“A preliminary investigation revealed that, at about 5:20 pm, an unidentified woman rented a serviced apartment in the company of the deceased at about 5:20 pm. Hours later, the woman left the deceased’s car and other personal valuables house and informed the butler that she would return soon.
However, during a routine inspection on March 28, 2025, the body of the male victim was found in the apartment. At the scene, investigators recovered an empty syringe, two cans of malt drinks and two bottles of water. The body was then evacuated and stored in Mortuary, Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (Lasuth) for autopsy, while reinforcement efforts began to find the suspect who fled. ”
Hundeyin mentioned that a detailed and arduous investigation by the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) (SCID) was arrested at Oko-Oba, Lagos at about 9:30 pm on April 26 at 9:30 pm on April 26.
“ During the interrogation, Adeola Adewale admitted that the malt drink applied to the deceased’s malt drink, which ultimately led to his death. Further careful investigation revealed the identity of the deceased, the 65-year-old male Mr. Adebayo. ”
Hundeyin mentioned that the suspect is currently in custody as the investigation continues to reveal more details of the incident.
