    Lagos Police Commissioner CP Olohundare Jimoh meets with tactical commanders; charges them for reducing crime and human rights compliance

    Lagos State Command Police Chief CP Olohundare M. Jimoh met with all the tactical commanders of the command. During a roughly four-hour meeting at the command headquarters on February 22, 2025, CP Jimoh accused officials of ensuring their attacks on crimes and criminals and further reducing crime rates in Lagos State to a minimum level of the lowest level . IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, under the direction of the Police Inspector General.

    Similarly, the CP warns the commander to always adhere to the human rights of all Nigerians, as any official found to violate any individual human rights will be dealt with in accordance with police regulations and land laws.

    Additionally, CP Jimoh declared zero tolerance for the murder of suspects, warning all police officers with detention facilities to work on nursing and police procedures for detention of suspects in detention.     The meeting will be held as the 41st police chief of Lagos State Command less than a week after the resumption of CP on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, and in line with his debut, he went to the government and Lagos State.
