The theme this year is inclusive policing: The panacea for improving safety and economic growth in Lagos, highlighting the importance of collaborative efforts between security stakeholders and sister security services, said a statement from headquarters spokesman CSP Benjamin Hundeyin. National Police Week is a critical moment for Nigerian police forces to strengthen their ties with the communities they serve. This week’s celebrations are designed to recognize the dedication and commitment of our officers, while also promoting constructive dialogue with citizens and demonstrating the transformative work of the Nigerian police force.
Hundeyin mentioned that in order to meet the police inspector general IGP Kayode Egbetokun, the Lagos State Police Command launched the celebration today at the Computer Village in Ikeja on April 3, where free medical checkups, health check studios and mental health awareness programs are provided for Nigerians. Officers also conducted cleanups at some of the major parks, bus fields and markets ordered in 14 (14) districts of the state.

On April 4, officials will hold a city hall meeting and interactive meeting with public members at the police MESS in Ikeja to address security issues and community needs.
