James scored a milestone with a 25-foot three-pointer against the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday.
James entered the game with 49,999 regular and playoff points, only one point was needed to reach the 50,000-point obstacle.

He surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s previous regular season record in 2023’s all-time regular season (38,387 points).
James further consolidated his position as one of the greatest basketball players of all time. He is nearly 6,000 points behind Abdul-Jabbar’s overall career score, with Karl Malone ranked third with 41,689 points.

LeBron James finally eclipsed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the most prolific scorer in the history of the National Basketball Association, breaking a 39-year record that many basketballs believe will never be beaten.
The Los Angeles Lakers star scored a total of 38,387 points in his long-term after playing in his 20th season in the NBA, nailing 21 feet in a game against the Oklahoma City Thunder later in the third quarter.
