Lightning in southern Kaduna hit a herder named Ibrahim Likit, with at least 12 cows hit by D3AD.
The incident occurred at around 4:30 pm on Sunday, March 30, 2025 in Matuak Giwa, Matuak Giwa, the Emirates of Moro’a, Kaura Local Government Area, Kaduna State.
According to Matuak Giwa, the village chief of Simon Ayuba, the young herder was hiding from the rain with his cattle when the thunder hits, K!
“The herders and 12 cows were on the spot. It was a tragic event that shocked the community,” Ayuba said.
Mallam Tanko Isiyaka of the Bonton area, which confirmed the incident, revealed that the herders of the deceased were cheered from Bauchi State.
He expressed grief over the incident and called for prayer and support for the family who had lost their loved ones as the victims rest in peace according to Islamic rituals.
Since then, the grief and compassion among the residents of the area have attracted interest.
