

Liverpool will break the transfer record of any British club in history after a deal with Bayer Leverkusen reached by Florian Wirtz.
The Premier League champions have reached a £116 million deal to sign German attacking midfielder Florian Wirtz to attack from Bayer Leverkusen. The fee includes a guaranteed £100 million and an additional £16 million in add-ons.
Chelsea Football Club is still getting a record of initial transfer fees in the Premier League when Bruce signed Enzo Fernandez from Benfica for £107 million in 2023. The Blues also brought Brighton midfielder Moises Caideo with an initial £100 million fee, which could increase to £115 million.

Wirtz will become Liverpool’s second player this summer, buying from Bayer Leverkusen and right-back Jeremie Frimpong has a £34m deal.
